Key Responsibilities
As a Project Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in managing and executing desalination projects. Your responsibilities include:
1. Project Management
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating project activities from start to finish.
- Track timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure projects stay on track.
- Act as the main point of contact between teams, clients, and stakeholders.
- Prepare reports, documentation, and presentations for project updates.
2. Technical & Compliance Support
- Work with engineering teams to determine equipment and material needs.
- Ensure all procurement and project activities comply with industry regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and apply mitigation strategies to prevent issues.
3. Stakeholder & Communication Management
- Coordinate between clients, suppliers, and internal teams to keep projects moving smoothly.
- Address and resolve any project-related challenges efficiently.
- Organize meetings, prepare agendas, and ensure follow-ups on action items.
4. Procurement Management (Preferred but not required)
- Handle procurement processes, including sourcing and purchasing.
- Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions and contracts.
Qualifications & Experience
To excel in this role, you should have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in water treatment, desalination, and procurement.
- A strong understanding of desalination technologies and procurement practices.
- Hands-on experience in vendor management and contract negotiations.
- Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and project management tools.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
Preferred:
- PMP Certification or other project management credentials.
- Familiarity with international procurement regulations.
- Experience working on large-scale desalination projects.
